for the love of god

can we put a stop to this endless parade of old white guys. i know it's the super bowl, lowest common denominator and all that, but do we really need to hear baba o'reilly/won't get fooled again/who are you another time???? i'm struggling to come up with a less inspired choice. hmmm, is the game on cbs this year? maybe all the csi cast members can join on stage

... shame on me, who am i to pass up a piss break?

"Ever since the infamous Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake nipple fiasco in 2004, the NFL has gone with 'veteran' acts..."

Talk about out of touch: at the time of BoobGate, Ms. Jackson was 38 years old and had been making solo albums for 20 years. Then again, the Who have been around longer than she's been alive, so...

But yeah, to your original point, the Superbowl half-time show has become the commercial classic rock radio showcase. (Another reason I'm glad I only have an interest in one sport: baseball.) And you know they're going to play the CSI theme songs. Bet on it.

(Btw, and don't get me wrong, I love the classic rock, but if you're going to break out Who's Next? over the air how 'bout maybe playing "The Song is Over" next time? Geez...)
