Cool album list; I'm quite partial to #1 and kudos on the observation vis-a-vis #4.

And rag on me all you want, GIHYB, but Ryan Adams' NY tune is a sentimental fave.

kiko ... c'mon. there's way better NY tunes on heartbreaker ... or, for that matter, on the 3rd strokes record!

i dont mind the ryan adams cut. i dont LOVE it, but i dont change the channel if it comes on.

also i think of combat rock like you do some girls...not in that its a great album, but as in its very nyc (if only cause thats all they talked about during that era)

Never dug The Strokes, and like I said, I'm a sentimental fool: the Ryan Adams song had some poignancy to it, given its timely arrival on the scene.

I dont understand this list. Wilco is from Chicago. Peter Cetera of Chicago is my 2nd favorite singer after Jeff Tweedy.
