"ya know, in Arab lands they'd set out a plate"
i think it's playing at the senior center tonight. i'll bring the toffees!
Why all this hatred directed at the Stones? Sure, they're pretty much an oldies act, but at least they still put on a good show (check out The Biggest Bang dvds if you don't believe me; the crowd response during the Buenos Aires, Argentina show will blow your mind!). I might agree if they had gotten sloppy over the years, but they haven't. Would you deny them the right to perform some of the greatest songs ever?
nobody loves the stones more than me, but honestly, they've played the same set for going on 30 years-- and they put out a film of EVERY tour (wanna see something really silly, watch the 81 tour VH1 classic has on a loop. nice pastels guys). i'm sick of the tired arrangements, i don't need to hear start me up ever again ... and mostly, i wanna make out with keith richards
In fairness, the stones have changed their set list some over the years but there will always be six or so songs that remain. No different than the Who with baba, won't get fooled again, my generation, can't explain, who are you.
well, when you write new classics like "love is strange" and "mixed emotions", the kids demand hearing them
